Well there's a very large difference between kpop and jpop.

Kpop is subsidized by the korean board of tourism for starters so kpop is literally korean propaganda. Their national market is too small so they have to desperately appeal to westerners/japan and the market is saturated now compared to 4 or 5 years ago. The Hallyu wave is pretty much over.

Japan on the other hand is pretty timid when it comes to the international scene since their national music industry is healthy enough to where they don't have to pander to the west to make money. I'm fine with Amuse dipping their toes into the water when it comes to Perfume but I don't want them selling out like the kpop groups do.
