I doubt they would have memories of it or it would be more like scant dream memory like shit

I do think the pre DL monsters who were sapient would absolutely remember though, I would imagine it would have been a bit of a hurdle to overcome. Assuming they didn't get a flayer or something, at the same time though demonic energy helps with mental trauma but I still think you would have some level of guilt for it even with DE ex machina.

I'm actually probably going to make it a somewhat important aspect to my flayer story, basically my dude is gonna feel like an evil bad person compared to monsters and ms flayer is gonna enlighten him
