"Well, that's interesting." Kasen muttered, throwing her bandaged hand upward to catch the oni by the ankle. Then, she whipped her downward, slamming her face-first into the ground next to Suika.

After a moment, Yuugi's muffled voice emerged. "...Time out..." She lifted her head from the ground, no doubt leaving a nice, cone-shaped hole where her horn had been. "She teamed up with herself. That's cheating." She looked at Suika, who couldn't really turn her head the whole way because of her own horns getting in the way. "Isn't that cheating?"

"Eh." Suika muttered, staring at the too-perfect sky. "Never said she couldn't, I guess." She finally lifted her head, looking at Kasen who herself was looking at the shattered window. "Thought you two weren't on speaking terms." She muttered, only slightly accusatory.

"We aren't." The arm called down from the broken window. "You said you were just going to talk to her!" Despite the first half of her sentence, she seemed a little offended that they’d attacked.

"What? No, I didn't. I said we were going to see her. I never said what we'd be doing to her!"

"Rather bold of you to assume that I'd let you do anything to me." Kasen stalked over, her bandaged arm unravelling enough to pull Suika up by the throat again. "What are you two idiots doing here?" She rolled Yuugi over onto her back with her foot. "I'm not in the mood for guests."

"Well, that's-" Suika lashed out with a kick to Kasen's stomach, enough to make the bandaged hand release her. "That's the problem, isn't it? What kind of oni starts moping around after a little bit of rejection, huh?" They both knew that Ibaraki-douji had been that exact kind of oni, but if Kasen wanted to pretend she wasn’t the person she used to be, it was a valid question. She pointed up at the broken window, which the arm was currently leaping through. She landed just behind Kasen, but seemed slightly reluctant to come forward. "Come on." Suika leaned forward and stared strongly at Kasen. "What ails ye?"

Yuugi staggered back to her feet. "Whoa, I think you knocked my brain loose." She shook her head. "Oh. Never mind, we're all good." Putting her hand on Suika's shoulder, she pulled the smaller oni back slightly. "Alright, Ibaraki's moral busybody half, what's it gonna take to get you to stop crying about this? I’m a little too straightforward for all this hermit stuff. Me, I like to hit things until they stop needing to be hit."

Kasen's eyes narrowed, her bandaged arm winding itself back into shape. "It's none of your business."

"Oh, is that right? I think I owe it to a certain pink-haired oni to take care of what remains of her. What would she say if she saw you now?"

"She'd be in two minds about it." Kasen growled. "Fortunately, both of them are standing right here."

"And both of them are thinking the same thing." The arm muttered, finally walking forward to stand next to Kasen, who looked rather surprised as the development. "I'm not forgiving you quite so soon. But I'm not letting these two look down on me either. Or you."

"Sounds very much like a murderous arm." Kasen told it, darkly. "What happened to 'I'm going to change'? You're just the same as always."

"Oh, don't hit me with that sanctimonious act. You love fighting just as much as I do. You just pretend you don't because that would be too oni-like."

"Don't pretend you know me." Kasen muttered out of the corner of her mouth.

"I am you. You are me." The arm was more insistent. "I might have been sealed away in Avici for centuries, but I'm still you. The sooner you stop denying that, the happier we'll all be."

Suika looked back and forth between the two. It was like some sort of comedy act. If the comedy stabbed her in her heart. "Are we fighting now?" She asked innocently. "I'd really like to punch you too."
