A lot of veteran producers are mostly inactive or in hiatus, it takes time for new blood to get recognised and go big.

I have the same feeling, really, my list of producers that I follow haven't released anything for the latter half of last year. All the big names seem to work on a project by project basis (see: Jin, Kemu, etc)
