Yeah, that's a good example. Gup worked too because they clearly care a whole fucking lot not only about cute/sexy girls but about tanks, battlefield tactics and ww2 history. The passion comes through, it's infectious.
Thinking about it, I'm surprised there aren't any tank girl games. Maybe because GuP was an anime first and it's more difficult to make another tank-themed anime than a browser game. Maybe they're so one-minded and uncreative that they couldn't even think to just make a game. "If it worked as an anime, we must make an anime too, nothing else will work, the chart says..."
Maybe I simply haven't heard about any.
