There are plenty of fighters out there with random elements, Zappa, Faust and Arakune in their respective games are all about reacting to random chance, for example. The weather system wasn’t bad just because it was random, but because certain scenarios that could be made as a result of the randomness made the game retarded.

River Mist is fair game, hell, half your melee will miss anyway. Spring Haze sometimes, but only in courtesy against Komachi, players (she's TOTALLY screwed no matter how good you are).

If you're following "Weather Etiquettes", Typhoon is the only weather where it takes place. If someone backs off during Spring Haze, your choice if you want to disregard it or not.

Oh god, Bench. What the fuck. We got around 20 Typhoons, 15 bursts of Spring Haze, and 10 or so River Mist flare-ups. You are the king of detestable weather. Still, GGs. You're the first good Marisa I've played.
