"I see. Ensure you continue to do so." Eirin told her, turning and disappearing into the halls that led back toward the clinic. Yamame and I were left standing there, watching her go, and Yamame shivered slightly.

"Ugh." Yamame mumbled. "Even when she's not trying to track you down and dissect you, she's still creepy." I shrugged and said that I felt like she probably needed someone to talk to just as much as I did. "Maybe, but even so..." She shook her head. "Let's just...Get out of here." She took my hand, squeezing it tightly, and I drew in as much comfort from the gesture as I could. We walked through the corridors of Eientei, which I'd happily remembered by now, so I could find the way back myself. In no time at all, we were in the clinic, where Tewi was manning the reception desk instead of Reisen. She didn't say anything, but she did wave lazily as we passed, and I waved back in acknowledgement.

The reason that Reisen wasn't at the desk became apparent as Yamame and I walked out of the gates of Eientei and made our way through the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. Roughly halfway through, I spotted the Medicine Seller who appeared in the village coming in our direction. She'd clearly not been expecting us, because she was in the process of taking her hat off and letting her long rabbit ears stick up, which she hastily tried and failed to hide again. Admitting defeat, she gave a begrudging nod as we passed each other. "Was that the rabbit from Eientei?" Yamame asked me. I nodded, looking over my shoulder to see that she'd taken off in a sprint, holding the straps of her massive backpack with both hands. "Huh. I think I've seen her once or twice. She always looked a little stressed." That had not changed, I told her.

I was happy to get out of the Bamboo Forest of the Lost and back into the village, though I did feel like I had to watch over my shoulder slightly just in case any crazy redheads were watching me. It really wasn't doing any favours for my paranoia. Yamame, however, was, so I tried to focus on her as we headed down the street instead. I thought it was helping, and I felt like I could breathe a little easier, and then we turned onto a different street and my feet froze as I realised that I'd made something of a faux pas, which was a term I'd found in a book that I'd read at Suzunaan, but hadn't really taken full meaning of until just now.
There was a women in the middle of the street. She held a parasol over her shoulder and even at a distance, I could tell just how imposing she was. Her mossy green hair cascaded down to her shoulders in bushy curls, and I watched as her long skirt swayed with her steps and found that it made me more nervous than anything else. Yamame hadn't noticed her yet, and she turned to me with a frown. "Are you, uh, okay? You're kind of...frozen." I swallowed, then shakily nodded. I'd just...Made a mistake. I hadn't spoken to the woman since before I'd had to flee the village. I'd not even met Yamame when I had first met Yuuka Kazami.
And then she turned, her blood-red eyes catching mine, and when they narrowed, I felt that primal part of my brain screaming at me to run as she began to walk toward us. I wasn't sure I could regardless, and Yamame looked between me and Miss Yuuka, and then she made a little noise of realisation. "Oh! Is that...?" I nodded slowly, then finally took in a deep breath and got myself under control. I could handle this. I remembered her being fairly pleasant, if a little scary.

Miss Yuuka stopped in front of us. She was another abnormally tall woman, managing to stand above me by a small amount. "I told you to seek me out if you wanted an update on your peach tree." Her voice was still smoother than the sweetest sake, and all the more dangerous for it. She spoke as if she’d seen me just yesterday, even though it must have been months since we’d last spoken. She'd not actually done anything threatening to me, nor had she done anything of the sort when I'd first met her, but she had a feel about her that just made everything she said seem a little bit scary. "I told you to approach me if you saw me in the village. " She bore down on me, and I just barely managed to keep myself from shrinking back. "You have done neither. Am I to take this as an indication that you are not interested in the endeavour that you entrusted me with?" I somewhat frantically shook my head. I paused, then, because I couldn't think of a single sentence short enough to adequately explain everything that had happened since I'd seen Miss Yuuka. "No?" Miss Yuuka asked, her head tilting slightly. "And...Who do we have here?" She asked, her head turning to Yamame, who did manage to hold her ground. "You're a youkai, aren't you?" She stated plainly, but thankfully it was quiet enough that no one else heard her, though there were few people around anyway.

I caught Miss Hakurei today. She was in an alley in the street adjacent to my house together with a rabbit girl who I think I saw at Eientei during one of my old physical therapy sessions. I decided to stay out of sight because I didn't want Miss Hakurei to try and attack me next, but from what little I could hear, I think she was asking the rabbit questions about Doctor Yagokoro. My physical therapy sessions haven't been happening for a while, ever since Miss Hakurei destroyed half of the building. I've thought about resuming them, since the structural damage must surely have been sorted by now, but since I feel so much better, I've just never bothered. I tried that peach that Miss Tenshi much have given me. It was really tasty and I felt quite energetic after I'd finished it. I saved the pit and planted it just to see if it would grow anything.
I can feel something, while I'm walking around. A creeping sort of tension, like I'm being watched on my every step. I've been feeling it since I met Miss Tenshi and I'm starting to think it isn't just Miss Hakurei who's causing it. I don't know what anyone else would want with me, though.
After I saw Miss Hakurei, I decided not to stay out today. Initially, I was going to head to Marisa's house and see if she had any more prospective matches for me, though I'm starting to wonder if Marisa has the time. Surely she has other customers, right? I haven't seen anyone there yet, but I must have missed them. I've considered recommending her services to some of the regulars at places like Geidontei, but I'm not sure if that would be overstepping my boundaries. Either way, Marisa might be busy, and I don't really need to go and see her today. I can just go home and tend to the peach pit that I planted.
When I rounded the corner to my street, I froze. Next to my front door, peering intensely at the small pot where I had planted the peach pit so that it could get some sunlight, was a woman. She was tall, with striking green hair and a parasol slung over her left shoulder. She wore a vest with a strange sort of criss-crossing pattern on it over a white shirt and a long skirt of the same pattern as the vest. I couldn't make out her face from where I stood, but I think she was annoyed, if the way her hand rested on her hip was any indication. That didn't seem good, but since she was standing in front of my home, I decided that I'd better go and see what she wanted before someone else found me.
I walked up to the woman and tried asking her if she was interested in plants. She straightened up (and I found that she was tall indeed) and looked at me, which also confirmed that she was definitely annoyed. Her face was sharp and somewhat intense, and I felt like I was shrinking back slightly just from her gaze. "Your peach will fail." She stated plainly. I was surprised, not just at that being the way she introduced herself, but by how matter-of-factly she stated it. It was like she knew with total certainty that she was correct. I asked her for her name and she introduced herself as Yuuka Kazami. I felt like I'd heard that name before, somewhere, but I couldn't place it. Her hair looked familiar too.
Before I could put anything together, she snapped me out of my thoughts. "You're going to let this peach tree die if you leave them here. I will save them." She didn't ask, though I suppose I would have had to say yes anyway. It's hard to turn down someone like this. Miss Yuuka gestured toward my door, and I opened it for her. She entered without a word and retrieved the small pot with the seeds inside it. I asked her what she was planning to do, but she didn't answer me. Slightly bemused, I shut my door and awkwardly trailed behind her as she stepped out into the street. When I tried asking again, she gave me a look as if she was evaluating me. Finally, she narrowed her eyes. "If I leave you, you'll just do it again. Come with me."
Predictably, I didn't get a chance to respond. Without a word, Miss Yuuka took her parasol in one hand, tucked my peach pot under her arm, took hold on my wrist and within a moment had shot off into the sky, dragging me behind her. I shouted a little when she lifted off, but I quickly decided to try and stay quiet in case Miss Yuuka decided to drop me. I don't think I could crawl to Eientei from here if I even survived. Strangely, my wrist didn't seem to hurt much despite it carrying all my weight. I tried not to look down too much, but once I noticed a wide expanse of golden sunflowers below, I frowned. That mysterious youkai who supposedly terrorized people around here apparently had green hair too. I wonder if Miss Yuuka knows her.

I need more people to appreciate the Beauty of Everlasting Darkness, the Flower Master of the Four seasons, and the Oriental Demon.
Luckily, Yuukarin is all three! Wow!

But she *enjoys* beating the hell out of things.
That smile on her face all the time would deter the dumbfuck fairies who would just waste her time, but invites in dumbfuck onis that woudn't pick up on the aura of pure bloodlust eminating from her.
This is someone who lives in her own fabricated dream world, so I don't think she'd be too interested in looking intimidating to someone who wouldn't already know not to fuck with her.
