a lot of casual words are written in katakana for some reason so pira is written in katakana despite it being a japanese word.

you learn 95% of what you teach famalam. if you wanna get good at japanese you have to pretend you know more than you do on the internet and teach people despite not knowing shit. done that for two years now look where I am. not yet conversational maybe but I can watch my waifu's talk and at least know the topic they're talking about even if I don't know what they are saying. maybe one day after investing hours of pretending to not be retarded you'll look like a smart guy like me right now.
