Not really, count as the two are gacha units, here are some basic numbers when maxed and 20% prince buff:
Gold Bernice (because she you are nearly guaranteed to have her):
HP 3102 DEF 1031 DEF with skill 2062

Xmas Bernice:
HP 3469 DEF 1065 DEF with skill 2131 DEF with skill and token: 4262 (note that the token takes a slot and have a duration of 50 secs)

Gelius
HP 4347 DEF 994 DEF with skill 2984.

Conclussion, Xmas Bernice is an exellent tank, but you need some settup to show it.
