>hair/eye color do not count because they're fucking cartoons and can have any impossible colors the designers want

Well, they don't count in your mind, but they do in others. Now I don't have peer reviewed studies here but I have talked to many people, in real life, that have the same question: "Why do anime characters look like white people? They have blonde hair and big blue eyes." Many people think this is odd. Even if you don't, others do. And I don't think it's fair to paint that as racist (I know it was the other guy doing that and not you but I want to say I do not agree with that).

Let's take a pseudo-anime, The Boondocks. The characters are supposed to be black. Except the white ones, and the Asian ones. It is supposed to be a portrayal of reality with the characters having various races. I think the characters in pic related are black. If anyone thinking that makes me a racist then I'd request they reevaluate their definitions.

Whatever though, I am leaving it at this post even if someone else tries to get the "last word" afterwards because I have had enough autistic 4chan arguments for a lifetime. This was my first one of 2017 so good job on breaking my streak I guess. Sorry to >>17402638 that there wasn't any decent discussion.
