Marketing her as a mature woman would just be the mistake they made with Meiko, OPs pic has 4 kids, 2 teenagers and 1 slut, no mature adult. And the problem was not her not being able to compete with Miku, not even Miku can compete with Miku.
The problem is that she could not build a sustainable niche (neither character-wise like shota/twins for the kagamines or genre-wise even though her voice is the furthest from Miku from V2 cryptonloids making her perfect for some songs that Miku can't do as well like most that is not electronic jpop).

But everyone agrees that V4x damaged her by not sounding like her, which I wonder it was some mistake by crypton/Yu Asakawa or how the vocaloid 4 engine handles her particular range.
