Inori is important to Keitarou throughout the entire story. She's just a super boring character, whose entire personality can be summed up as "quiet abused girl". We don't know shit about her hobbies, what she likes, or anything, and she only gets to interact with Kururu, so she hardly has anyone to bounce off of.
She's basically what you get if you suck out all the fun parts of Satoko's character, and force her into a love interest role
