Paragraphs are divided by ideas and topics, not the amount of lines or words. If your idea is over in just two lines, you have to begin a new paragraph to. You can't just keep writing on the same paragraph until it's "thick enough" when you are literally talking about something else or beginning a completely different line of thought.

For example, this very paragrah. Sure, I'm still talking about the same subject, but I can't just write this on the previous paragraph, no matter how short it was. It's an example, a new idea related to the previous one. It's proper formatting to separate ideas and make the text easier to digest.

Typos are a sign of mere ignorance or carelessness. But not using punctuation OR proper paragraph spacing divided by lines of thought is a sign of mental retardation and low IQ.
