I don't think he is exaggerating though. The girls from 2020 to 2024 can't compare in terms of work ethic to girls from 2005 to 2015. Actresses built during that time frame could be relied on to deliver. Hana Haruna, Ai Uehara, , Haruki Sato, Seina Arisa, Mikako Abe, Tsubomi, Rei Mizuno, Ayumi Shinoda, Yuu Shinoda, Hibiyan, Yui Hatano, Kurea Hasumi, Honoka Mihara, Aya Miyazaki, Ruka Kanae, Suzu Ichinose, Sayo Arimoto etc, etc. Hell even Aimi Yoshikawa eventually was able to develop and apply herself properly once she went non-exclusive. Too many girls for me to list from that not so distant past.

With that said though I understand not all the time old = good. There are positives in the new generation. Unfortunately, I worry if the actresses now are able to rise to the occasion if they are only expected to do the bare minimum on camera with barely any pay. Let's face it. Girls these days don't last very long in the business. On average a year or year and a half of content then they move on. It brings almost a tear in my eye girls like Yuki Rino, Momo Minami, Nana Maeno and Saya Minami are stuck in this era. When they could have been drawing DIMES in 2013 or 2015 if they were able to debut then of legal age.
