First thing is to fix the white balance since that really throws off the image if it's too yellow or too blue. I attached a version where I adjusted the white balance a bit and increased the exposure.

Light is essential too for decent pictures - either get a flash or a tripod, both work and offer a lot of possibilities and more light means you can use lower ISO sensitivities so the pictures turn out less grainy.

Manual focusing is good if you have a camera that has a "live view" mode (=so you can get the viewfinder image to the back screen and zoom in to get perfect focus), but usually there shouldn't be any problems with autofocus either as long as there's enough light around.

That's the technical stuff, then there's a completely different world in posing the doll, angles and such. For those I suggest just looking at a lot of pictures and when you see something that you like, try to figure out what it is that makes that specific picture nice to look at.
