Yeah there is a community of Japanese folk who make custom heads and trick out the basic fabric dolls. If you knew how to talk to them they do sell stuff from time to time.

I’m very into the 80cm pattern fabric dolls that are popular. They make ones you can buy but also offer the pattern to make one for yourself.
