Job board quests can give 1-10 plat. Like one challenge quest can give up to 10 plat and those can be knocked out quickly. Dungeons bosses can drop up to 5 platinum and I suppose you could get more if you run into bells in the dungeon. If platinum is all you care for then job board quests might be a faster way to get them. You can still make a decent amount of platinum doing dungeons and you benefit from finding small medals off the dungeon bosses and big daddies as well. Whether I farm job board quests or dungeons boils down to whether I'm searching for wonder scrolls/spellbooks of wish in towns or small medals/little sisters in dungeons when I start Elona.
