"We are making good time!" Alice looked happy "there's only one more ingredient left in the village and then we can move to the next area, this way!" Meiling followed Alice through a few increasingly familiar streets...wait a second.
Alice was now heading directly towards Geidontei "need a break Meiling?" she turned "don't worry the last shop is right here, we can rest for a while in it"
"N-no, just thought i saw something haha" Meiling and Alice entered the bar
"Welcome to Geidontei what can i oh? Meiling is that you?" the oldman running the bar was cooking some food when she noticed her
"Hi mister Tei how have you been?" Meiling greeted him
"Same as usual young girl, what about you? You're here for more work? is the lady with you also interested?"
"N-no" Alice interrupted "we are just doing some b-bussines around town" she seemed a bit nervous now "A-anyways we would like.. uh y-yakitori! Yes!"
"Oh, sure young lady" the man walked into the kitchen
Alice sat down with her hands on her face, after placing the boxes out of the way Meiling sat next to her "Are you okay Alice?"
"YEAH! I-i mean yes, i'm fine don't worry" she fixed her hair "our last vendor should be here any second"
"Oh i thought alcohol was the last ingredient"
"She knows i'm not good with these places" Alice frowned "let's just hope she shows up soon, unlike with the ingredients i have to pay for this meal myself"
"We can split if you like"
"It's fine, don't worry about it" Alice paused for a second "just try to eat slow please"
The door bell rang, making both girl turn towards her

"I'm baaack~ boss the tailor shop owner asked if-" A girl wearing a whale hat locked eyes with Meiling "Meiling!" Miyoi ran towards her ex coworker and hugged her "you're back~ are you here to help me out again?"
Meiling hugged back "Sorry Miyoi, i'm here for another job" and gently tried to push her off
Miyoi clung harder "Awww, at least work today's shift with me, for old time's sake"
"U-uhm" Alice interrupted "please leave my employee alone"
"That's okay you can work here too" Miyoi let go of Meiling
"N-no thanks" Alice began loosing her composure again
"Don't be like that~ i'm sure we can reach an arrangement"
Alice was about to reply but was interrupted by Mr Tei "Miyoi stop harassing the clients, what did the tailor shop owner say?"

Alice listened as Meiling and Miyoi caught up on what they've been doing for a few minutes, Meiling kept the more violent parts out to not worry Miyoi, eventually the doorbell rang again, this time a brunette with an extravagant smoking pipe and glasses "Welcome miss, what can i get you" Miyoi greeted her
"Just the usual Miyoi" the woman sat next to Alice "And what's this? Meiling is back?"
"She is!" Miyoi affirmed
"I'm not, sorry" Meiling corrected
Miyoi pouted
"Took you long enough Mamizou, you said you'd be here as soon as i entered the bar" Alice was staring the disguised tanuki down
"You need to socialize a bit, you are going to go crazy isolating yourself in that house" Mamizou smiled at Alice
"That's for me to decide and since when do you of all people care?"
"Just being a friendly neighbor"
Alice groaned "never mind this, do you have the ingredient?"
"Do you have the tobacco?" Mamizou asked back
Alice rolled her eyes and placed a bag in front of Mamizou, the tanuki put some of the contents on her pipe and began smoking "I've got to give it to you, your mom has some good connections"
"I told you to stop calling her that, she's not my mom, now do you have the ingredient?"
"Fine fine" Mamizou place an almost angelic looking flower in front of Alice "do try to enjoy yourself a bit before leaving young girl, you're in a bar after all"
"Not while you're smoking all over the food" Alice put the flower in a bag "come on Meiling, we should go"
"What? Come on don't leave yet, at least have a drink first"
"No thanks" Meiling and Alice said in unison
Miyoi pouted again
"I'll be back when i'm less busy okay?" Meiling reassured Miyoi
Miyoi sighed "fine"
