I only went full hardcore during IBS, even then I only gained 5lvl when I tried to beat E5. It is actually not that impressive. Newbie ranker on the new server would probably hit lv120 on their first month.

Joined first week of October.
No prep time at all for event, I gained 20HQ level and leveled my ships during the event. The 3weeks duration was plenty of time to beat it including getting Yahagi..

The hardest part of the event is not resources but continuous sortie. You are limited by time and fatigue The BB hime is a joke when your HQ is over 100+ . You can kill her once a day and still come out on top. Are you saying it was so hard that you cannot fully kill the boss once a day?
Also 2BB hime only appeared for the final kill.
If your HQ is 100+ and yet you were having problem it is time for you to stop sub slaving and actually get a competent fleet.
