"No matter how many Bad Ends I get, I'll have my revenge!"

A guy dies and is resurrected by god(s) because he wants a chance to revenge his life. He has ended up in Itoge, a city in a closed space that gets regularily attacked by space monsters called Zodiacs. If the Zodiacs reach the planetarium that upkeeps the closed space, the world ends. The last line of defense against the Zodiacs are witches called Etoilles who are the only people who can destroy them.

Because the main character can resurrect and is able to remember what happened prior to his death he wants to help them save the world. This is the setup.

The story is somewhat simple, basically an extended Groundhog's Day, but it's the way it's told that makes it interesting. For example it challenges the whole arbitrarily interactive nature of eroges, such as the obligatory choices that determine the route, by making them more than relevant because the main character(and you, the player) is able to remember what happened earlier, even what happened in the earlier routes.
