So, tried this for 2 hours now. The first scene I immediately skipped. Not sure if they wanted to leave an as bad as possible first impression or what was going on there, but the first thing you hear sounds so awful it's not even funny.

Anyway, past that the whole thing is just weird. It's an eroge. Why are the "we can't have ero, so we think of something else that's fanservicy" scenes even there? The "massages" are mostly just pure boredom, as they are often empty with just some random description and "moaning" equivalent. Looking past them it's not even too bad. Although I personally really dislike the main girl. No wonder, given who she is voiced by and how I usually quite dislike that voice actress as well.

But it's not like that matters much. This is all about the sound production right? Well, with the beginning being as it is, expectations are quickly lowered, but even so.. it's disappointing. Most of the time it just doesn't sound good.
The volume differences are WAY too big. The voices from the side are way to "side"-ish. It sounds like the cheap "hey, the character is to the right, so we only use the right channel" effect that binaural should actually be able to avoid (?). Sounds especially bad with headphones, for obvious reasons.
Then there are effects and whatnot. For example the "blowing into the ear" sounds like blowing into a mike. Yeah, well, yeah. Duh? But please. That's not the idea here. Quite a few of the sound effects also sound weird, just like the whispering. Which of course also has to do with it not really sounding normal but rather artificially centered. It's a bit hard to describe.


I'd actually go so far and say that this'd be a fine moege if they had just left out all of the fancy stuff. The art is fine, the sprite work is pretty good with a good amount of changes per line. If it zooms in, it's not blurry because they actually cared about the art resolution. The music is actually pretty good for a moege. I at least quite like half of the main cast. But the binaural voice recording has more issues than positives I feel. I quite liked what I heard back in Corpse Party. But I feel this kind of stuff has to be some weird acquired taste. Or perhaps in-ear headphones are better. Or something. Well, at least the "main voice actress" behind the game has some fun with her character. I approve of that. The others should've been like that as well.
