Male idols have to do this too. They can't date or have casual sex, of course marriage is different deal... Even then fangirls go crazy. But it's part of their job, it says in their contract. She could have been fired for this because she did something against the contract, but she took responsibility. No one is forcing her to be an idol, it's her decision to be an idol for gross otaku men. Maybe she should have studied harder so she could get a better job than be a shooting star for a few years, she's going to graduate anyways once she gets too old since these girls don't have actual talent.
