this is a really simbolistic scene

THE DARK QUEEN (naturally Erika) killed the white King(Natsuhi the head of the family) and the white pawn(Jessica useless) but the queen didn't eat them she killed them only by positioning herself in the same position as them.
this represents how Erika, by getting imprisoned , manage to convince them to be imprisoned and to eliminate them
