It wasn't 6 months. By RHCP 2016 support (December 2016), they had already pulled two or more of her upper teeth and had put lingual braces in that are visible in photos. She looked particularly different in her smiles and the way she placed her lips together. And you can already see some movement. So they likely started right after Tokyo Dome. Her spacers and braces were visible in proshots and photos until Legend S, and in 2018 there are shots you can see her bonded retainer wires behind her teeth.

There are ways, albeit painful ones, where you can accelerate teeth alignment, with trade-offs like jaw bone health and teeth root stability. I still think she has at least one or two implants though. How she sang with things in her mouth like that for 1.5 years, OTFGK.
