Well I mean, I think what I'm saying is we have so little to go on, it's like wasted energy trying to come to any definitive conclusions about her in our ampitheatre debates.

Just as Perfume's stage personas have been to varying degrees an act (A-chan isn't that dumb and goofy, Kashiyuka isn't that cute, they both forced their cutesy idol voices early on, is it possible to cry as much as A-chan? Nocchi's easygoing persona is less obviously put on, but still... I'd wager Amuse know people have enjoyed spotting her zoning out on camera, so there's every possibility even that's an act) it sets a precedent for all Perfume content. We can't really know for sure that the things that are presented to us as more "genuine" (interviews, backstage footage, PTA blogs) aren't just as engineered. I mean obviously that's true of any celebrity, of course, but even if we were to come to certain conclusions, we can't know for sure how right we are. From this distance we'll never get confirmation on the severety of Nocchi's malaise, not unless something shockingly definitive happened, which obviously we don't want.

I wrote this post out a bunch of times, always getting long and rambly and then starting over. I'm pretty much saying nothing at this point too..
