This girl was difficult. Still, I had an idea. So, I offered her a deal. She'd give me the T-shirts back, and I'd be her friend. "Ooh, really!?" That, it seemed, had garnered Koishi's attention. "Big Sis is always saying that she wished for more friends! Can you be her friend too!?" That...Was a slightly harder ask for me, but for the sake of getting my clothes back, I agreed. At the very least, I expected that Satori would understand what had happened better. "Then I'll give you a discount! And you can have - Oh, I don't own anything..." That was fine, I replied. I just wanted the clothes. If I refused the second offer, could I have the clothes for free? "I'll give them back to you if you can guess what I'm thinking!" Koishi replied with a wide smile.

I suppressed a groan. The girl was practically manic, and I had to guess what she was thinking? "You've got twenty seconds!" She cheerfully told me, ignoring my protest that I couldn't possibly guess in that time. So, I tried to think furiously. She was the sister of Satori Komeiji. The same Satori Komeiji who had the ability to read my mind. So, how did you beat a mind reader? Make it too hard to read your thoughts. And the easiest way to do that was to blank out your mind. I squeezed my eyes shut and focused very hard on thinking about nothing. Then, finally, I spoke. She was thinking about nothing.

"Wron- Oh, wait, that's right..." Koishi started to cheer, then stopped slowly. "How did you know that!?" She cried, slamming her palms down on the counter. I opened my eyes and sighed in relief and several kinds of amazement. I'd just assumed that if I kept my mind black, she wouldn't be able to read it. "I can't read it anyway!" Koishi protested. My only response was a bemused noise of confusion. "I closed my third eye, Mister Human! I can't read minds!" Wait, but then... "I just love not thinking!" I...Really didn't know how to respond to that. "Aw, I guess I lost... You’re really amazing, Mister Human!" So...I slowly spoke. That meant that I could have the T-shirts? "Uh-huh, Mister Human...But you still have to be my friend! And Big Sis, too!" I smiled weakly and nodded, reaching out to take the T-shirts before Koishi could either forget or change her mind. "Wait, what am I gonna sell now...?" She mumbled. "Ooh, maybe I could sell my shirt!" I was suddenly very worried that she was about to start stripping off right there, but then she could sight of a bird. "Birdy! New Okuu, come here!" She cried, jumping over the counter of the stall and running off down the street. No one seemed to take any notice of her except for a small group of passing children, who cheered her on as she chased after the bird.

I was left standing there, finally having reclaimed my lost clothes, but feeling just as confused now as I had then. This time, it was for very different reasons, and I hoped that my day wouldn't get any weirder.
