Beatrice is probably the most politically convicted of the LDO, seeing it as crossing the line when they betray Germany in its final hours. As for the LDO they're not exactly what proper nazis would be, but they fit in well with what people consider nazis to be now more than half a century later. Like it's difficult finding a group more vilified in history. I think the LDO would have been boring though if they were just regular nazis, for example Dies irae Heydrich is probably a lot more exciting as a villain than the actual Reinhard Heydrich.
