It was mostly a joke, but I do think that a name change would solve a lot of problems, since I believe that the name "Otaku Culture" is too vague in a way. Arguably all hobbies can be otaku culture if you go by the Japanese definition of the word. Changing the name into "Doujin & VN + Idolmaster" or whatever, would make it clear as day what the board is intended for. As things are now, mods can just argue that X and Y is otaku culture and therefore should be dumped on /jp/.
