1.) Unparalleled public transportation.

2.) Don't like foreigners. Amazingly incompetent politicians. (What's that, you guys are going to make another LDP the prime minister? Oh boy!)

3.) Your people don't like me, so it's hard to like your country. Indifferent? I stayed there for 2 6 month periods over 2 years (Kanagawa, tokyo, osaka) for introduction of proprietory software solutions from an IT company and training employees there, it's a pain in the ass if your apartment suddenly says you are not allowed in because you're a foreigner and the travel agency fucked up because they forgot to mention that. You can't seem to find any apartment that would let you in outside of Tokyo where there are a lot of foreigners in from business trips. It took a while for it to occur to me that racial discrimination is allowed. The country doesn't have a law against it.
