So far the chat log, god switching prompt, and help menu are the only things that really suffer from that.
I do think it's worth it for improved readability everywhere else. Particularly with equipment, item, character, etc screens, as well as character dialogue windows.
But the chatlog is something you view very often yeah, that's a pretty hard turnoff. All the others are fairly uncommon to use.
