I like spell cards.
I like last words.
I like easy mode.
I like lunatic mode.

In forests, on waterfalls, in mountains, in the netherworld, in bamboo groves, in the human village, on lakes, in sky, in mansions, in shrines.

I like danmaku, I like the POC. I like getting hit, I like power icons. I like continuing. I love every aspect of Touhou that takes place in Gensokyo.

I like blowing away the enemy with the thunderous roar of a Master Spark. When all enemies are utterly obliterated by my focused bomb, my heart dances.

I like crushing the enemy fairies with homing shot types on our characters. When I mowed down the fairies who fled screaming from the screen with Sakuya A, my heart leapt.

I like it when IaMP players plow through the enemy’s projectiles with their sake gourds in line. I remember being moved when seeing new characters, filled with booze, beating an already defeated enemy over and over.

Seeing a boss’ life meter empty is unendurably exciting. Seeing a youkai be exorcised with a piercing shriek as my own hand falls was spectacular.

When Yukari used “Danmaku Bounded Field”, and I dodged every pattern thanks to a replay, I was at my height.

I like it when our PoFV games are crushed with the dead parrots. It is a sad thing when one’s power meter is empty, and they are promptly gangraped by a dragon spell and Lily White.

I like being squashed and destroyed by stupid mistakes during the first and second stages. Getting hit while trying to graze easy mode “Icicle Fall” is the ultimate disgrace.
