Makoto Sanda isn't allowed to touch any of that shit because he's not Nasu and obviously doesn't wanna overstep his boundaries. What he was allowed was a spin-off that expanded on inner Clock Tower stuff and some minor Dead Apostle stuff, and he did a fine job of it. Better lore expansion than anything Nasu's done in years.
