All 07th spoilers incoming, just a warning.
Can someone explain who TF Bernardus is? Are witches just manifestations of hidden personalities of characters or do they legit just manifest into reality somehow?
I still don't get the relationship between Umineko and Higurashi, so I've tried to disconnect them up to now. Did Rika get so mentally fucked that she legit split into a new personality in some transcendent realm "just because that's how it works deal with it"? I don't mean this with full intellectual honesty but the proper words escape me, but everything that happened with witches felt very asspully in Umineko, I'm only 130+ iq but I don't know if I'm 150+ so maybe I got intellectually filtered. Been a year since I read umi and 2 since higu so forgive my amnesia.
Am I supposed to stop thinking about all this witch bullshit and just "feel" the story and "feel" the characters? I do that to an extent with monogatari since the writing is at least 50% nisioisin's unrelenting natural train of thought, LN authors tend to make the character have a largely similar thought process to themselves, which means one of the best parts of LNs is to try to understand the character that is really the author, from a psychoanalysis perspective. But with Umineko, either
1. Ryukishi legit planned out everything in the higher realms or whatever to have a deeper meaning.
2. It's mostly LSD trippy bullshit that you "feel" and loosely interpret which is why retards like italianon and mentally diseased people all think they've figured out the truth.
3. Mix
4. Ryukishi lost it after his friend died in between arcs 5 and 6
It disappoints me that Ryukishi said Ciconia was inspired by NGE since it would have a deeper layer that even readers who read only casually like goats would be fine with not understanding, when at least imo and my other very genius friend thinks this too, NGE is completely shallow. (Well it has some interesting psychoanalytic things to say but they are surface level if we are talking R07 stuff.)
