When did you realize that the reason why Gura receives relatively few superchats despite her high subscriber/viewer count is because a large chunk of her audience is actual children, who like to watch the cute cartoon shark play funny games?

Gura's design is made to appeal to little kids. It leverages the Baby Shark meme, for one. Androgyny is important when marketing certain types of characters to younger children; younger boys think Gura is another boy like them, and younger girls think Gura is another girl like them. In several years, there will be a generation of older kids who make internet posts like "I used to think Gura was a boy when I was younger."

Gura's personality is mostly kid-friendly. She talks in a simple and "funny" way, her memes are basic ("a"), and her commentary is straightforward.

If Pekora over in JP is pulling in child viewership, I guarantee you that Gura is doing the same for EN.
