I don't agree with this, I consider these charts being for learners in general. When you first start with VNs in Japanese it's a bit daunting to know what to read first because there's so many of them, so having a bunch of specific VNs provided to you to give you a head start is nice. If you wanted one for beginners, it should have a much smaller number of very carefully picked VNs all Hanahira or Yotsuba-tier difficulty.

You know it's easy to cross out VNs but what's hard is making good suggestions. Every chart is going to have stuff some people find difficult, like this one has Daitoshokan which is crossed out there.

I don't see how brief descriptions of why they're easy are useful. Like I could take this chart and write "covers everyday SoL topics, uses simple language" under half the VNs, but it wouldn't make the chart more helpful to beginners.

I'll agree about SoL manga where there's no overarching plot, but with your high school romance VNs you do get the development of the relationship and sex/love with the girls to look forward to, so they can be just as compelling as plot stuff.
