It is so sad. I don't think Japanese culture should be destroyed, but they need to change certain aspects of it if they really want to survive in this post-ww2/post-modern world.

There is a Japanese Artists who focuses his art on Japanese post-modernism (And no, it is not he Japanese artist who has those two anime character statues twirling their semen and breast milk around) and he painted a giant picture of the Edo Castle with a lot of other stuff going on in it. The main point of the painting was to show how the traditional Japanese culture that truly still is held on to today in many ways in current japan cannot keep going on in post-modern world of Japan.

Japanese artists come to America, because true artists in Japan cannot be successful in their line of work or socially.
