Pole here.
As much as I love Japan and no matter how passionate I am about Japanology, Poland comes first.

Same goes for citizenship. No matter how long I'd stay in Japan, even if I were to live there till my death, no matter who I'm married to, I'd never reject my Polish citizenship for a Japanese one.
Because I'll never be Japanese, even if I wanted to.
Poland is my mother, and I'll forever be a Pole.
As my fathers were before me and my children will be.
