Minor in Lost Memories, but Marei was basically a living plot progression device created for the Ludojo reruns (the character had already existed but not mentioned in the original runs) to bounce off Ichika/Sachie/etc and provide more exposition/backstory for the Fierbois, Adelring, and potentially Nagisa's and Raimu's custom weapons. You could take her out of the reruns and they would be largely similar to the original runs.

That said, she does have a bigger role in the ongoing Niigata web serial (unvoiced) as well, which Azone is supportive of. They sent Mutou the lucky charm merch for it yesterday, which she had been eyeing.
