Turns out the guy is a pretty lady, they hang out together, and Life-sensei gets his hopes up. At the end of the day though, turns out the lady and his friend have been dating for a while already, and his friend kept it secret from him.

>There was girl he liked in class, so he tried showing off to get her attention. When he bragged about how his horoscope was 1st for the day, she got impressed. He then started boasting to her that his horoscope was the best everyday, even when it obviously wasn't, because he thought it'd impress her even more if he got the best everyday. After a few days, she finally told him, in a tone that sounded completely unimpressed, "Your zodiac is decided by your birthday, you know? You can't just change it everyday. You're scary."

>She didn't have friends, so one day, she took her precious souvenir star-shaped sand in a bottle, presented it to all the kids in class, and declared that it was "wish granting stardust". Then she led them to the backyard, where she poured it out on the ground, made a magic circle, and asked everyone to make their wishes. Nothing happened. She didn't even make friends.
