both wrong. At least for most of the main game. I gave Marisa good wands and it was all cool. Youmu can wear Swords, Axes, Lances, ergo everything a fighter needs. She's the same as Mokou in that regard.

Most bosses at your level range are best done with magic, and for that you don't need those weapons. I made lots of shitty weapons (every goddamn inaccurate Sakuya sword) and now need to grind up on Hinotori Wings etc.

The one that gets recommended a lot is Youmu 6th tier, the one with Foreign God slayer: for a very good reason. Pic related is the reason. If you like though you can also make Gungnir or Kusanagi for that occasion.
