I wonder at what age Sakuya became a part of the SDM family.

Considering that she had some hatred against humans, that Remilia gave Sakuya her name and that she cares a lot of her mistress I think that her back story is something about her being isolated/frozen from humans(probably because of her powers) and that she somehow got "saved" from this by Remilia who offered her a place at the SDM and a new name.
And I would guess this could be when she was relative young.

And because of that Sakuya is forever grateful of her mistress and that's why she even follows the most ridiculous orders from her mistress with a good stride.
