Fair enough, look I don't think containment boards work as well, I just think the solution of ridding the place of generals would fix the problem albeit causing a wave of individual idol threads but after a good while and some good moderation things should smooth out.
Though I am presuming a bit here, one of the key things for this to work is how much does the mod care about this board, if the ensuing flood of threads to moderate is more than the mod amount of care that the mod has for this board things will return to what it used to be albeit with more subtler generals.

How do I stop my unhealthy desires towards the 'μ?
