It would make a relationship with her really awkward, I guess. The samurai would scream about how he used to be a relative of Taira no Masakado and he wouldn't take such an insult and how you should commit ritual suicide while the shy, embrassed girl apologizes and asks if you can still love her like this.

Of course you'd say you would and hug her, ignoring the samurai face trying to bite your fingers. The samurai would be something of a father figure glued to his daughter's back afterwards, and eventually he'd grudgingly admit he respects you and will allow you to marry the crab girl.

I like blue soldier crabs a lot, but in spirit of the myth I guess she should be a Heike crab.
