Stick with it. The pace will pick up greatly and any qualms you have about the art style will start to go away as it grows on you. You'll also hear some great music tracks and get some fan service for Higurashi fans.

The anime has followed the series decently so far but its pacing feels awkward and it makes certain scenes feel less dramatic than its visual novel counterpart. It also contains some animation quirks like rapid breast size changes which you may or may not like.
