Appland does more than the VR app, remember Siro's model was literally taken from some game they were making and it was labelled the "warrior princess".

Bacharu created the 3D model to test the app, and Hayuyu was a seiyuu voicing some characters for the company and she suggested creating a VY after watching Kizuna Ai. At first she when for like 5 months with less than 1K subs and then suddenly during the Christmas miracle her channel exploded and the rest is history.

BTW but yeah, I admit Appland may be in trouble if it weren't for VYs, the game they were developing Shojo Heiki Daisen (少女兵器大戦, lit. Girl's Weapon Wars) was also cancelled.

People seem to forget that Hayuyu was just a seiyuu at Appland and seeing Ai-chan's videos inspired her to become a Vtuber and seek Appland's help (they even reused the Warrior Princess character for one of their planned games to make Siro)

Of course she respects Ai-chan, Ai-chan inspired her to make her dreams come true.
