Also if you're reading print material, forcing yourself to look everything up is a really bad idea. Try to figure out what's going on, and what they're "saying", first. Then you can try to figure out what they're Literally saying. If you can't, move on. You should, of course, occasionally read things that give you quick dictionary access, to cover all your bases, but that's a different problem. My favorite example of this is with comedy manga meant for middle schoolers. They're so easy to understand that you could cut out, like, almost every word and still understand them.
