I looked around. Clearly, the dream was coming to an end, because the room was suddenly empty, the last traces of the dancers vanishing in wisps of pink smoke. The music too had stopped. "Well, looks like our time's up. Totally gonna come see you and Yamame soon, though." Lady Hecatia told me. "But for now, it's farewell." She took my hand, planted a kiss on it, then promptly threw her hand out in a harsh slap across the face.

And my eyes shot open. I tried to move, only for every single part of me to scream in pain. All parts except my mouth, from which no sound escaped because the pain had wiped all control from my body. I finally managed to drag in a ragged breath. "Miss Shrine Maiden, he's awake!" I heard a voice shout, which made my head pound.

I just about managed to identify it as Kagerou before a red-and-white blur raced into the room and slapped her to the side. "You're awake!?" I heard Reimu cry out. She looked exhausted and her eyes were red. "How are you!? Are you in pain!?" I tried to speak but only managed to groan something incoherent. "Oh, I thought you'd died!" Reimu gasped out, her body sinking against the side of my bed. "We threatened Eirin into treating you without any tricks. She seemed a lot more reasonable now that she's had her head crushed." That was good, at least. I tried to look around. I was in Eientei, which almost made my heart start beating faster, but knowing that Reimu was right there with me helped calm me down. "It was - Marisa was trying to defeat Kaguya. She didn't know you were there."

"...Uh-huh." I heard a groan from my other side, and with great effort, turned my head. There, in the bed next to me, lay Marisa, covered in so many bandages that they outnumbered the visible skin of her body. "Really don't think I deserved all that..." She forced out with a wheeze. I looked back over at Reimu, unable to really move anything else.

"I, um, may have gotten a little upset. So did Tenshi." Reimu mumbled. During Marisa's story just after the storm, she'd mentioned Reimu 'punishing' her for letting me get so injured. "She'll be fine, though. So will you, um, eventually. Lots of burns, Eirin said. Marisa wasn't really holding back, because Kaguya's immortal anyway. Just rest."

I tried to speak again, but settled on vaguely nodding.

I felt the most at ease in Eientei I had since the whole thing had started. As I drifted back into unconsciousness, I spotted Tenshi coming into the room too.

It was good to know that people cared about me.

Sounds to me like you guys want to be girlfriends rather than boyfriends of your hu.
Reimu deserves better than scrawny femboys pining after her, poor girl might get some self image issues from this, seeing what looks like homosexual men act like they're interested in her romantically. Sends a message that her feminity is seriously lacking. Besides, if she really has a fetish for Marisa then what's stopping her from going after Marisa directly? You'd just be a poor imitation at best, and she propably won't love you for who (You) are.
