If I had to shoehorn them into a category, it'd be Pseudo-Quasi, I guess...
but also remember that the categories are mainly for facilitating discussion/better recommendations rather than sorting simply for its own sake.
With that in mind, it's probably at least slightly beneficial to loosely associate actresses like Ai and Yuri within the system so that they might still be part of the conversation. Take for example someone finding (Semi-/Quasi-Semi?) Ririko Kinoshita really attractive but wouldn't mind someone more characteristically idol-like. In this case actresses like Ai Sayama and Yuri Oshikawa might be good recommendations (Quasi-Hags like Kana Morisawa might be too big a jump downwards in terms of ripeness whereas any riper will be getting into Semi-Classic territory)
And to address your concerns, I always perceived Faux-Hags as a joke category except in the narrow cases where people like mature PLOTS/ROLES but not necessarily mature actresses. That's pretty much the only time that category has any practical usefulness
