On who is a legit vendor and who is not things will become evident with research. I've given you one that is US based already and if I was in your shoes I would - very - seriously consider for shipping. Also a company that you can have a real conversation about your questions. You are spending $1-1,500. Expect service and don't worry, legit vendors will be very helpful. Imagine the amount of crap they deal with. Answering a lot of nervous questions is the easiest part of their job.

I get my dolls from China directly. I just got an Akira from Doll To China. I've also bought Doll4Ever dolls from HGdoll. You should check them out for pics and vids. Email them both and hit up their chat. Then check out Dchannel and you have fucking got to see their videos. Oddly hilarious and super informative - best I've seen yet.
