>Yasu would never set up something like the event to reveal the content of Eva's diary.
"Framing the motive" would be a fair way to assert it. One of the core principles of an I=Y theory is that her actions are driven out of the selfish motivation of hoping Battler will remember her, and selfless in helping him recover. This being framed with Beato looking at battler while he is confused (like he would be as he becomes Tohya) makes sense in this regard.
>Have to survive somehow, get to the same island, and find him semidead
If they both floated up at the same location, they likely would have washed up at the same location, if not there's still the motorboat as well. The only condition for Yasu's survival, given that battler also survived, is untying a knot. Battler could do it, or Yasu could do it herself.
>Motivation and evidence
Why does Ikuko bribe a doctor to conceal Battler's identity unless she already knows who he is? Why are Ikuko's hobbies conveniently the only thing that brought Battler and Yasu together in the first place? Why does she conveniently happen to find Battler, the other survivor of the Rokkenjima incident, as well as a bottle containing a complete confession from the culprit, despite being described as a complete shut in who spends all her time writing? The manga also shows that ep3 was created as a way to set up a meeting with Eva, so "Finding other bottles as well" is almost certainly not the case. From an authorial standpoint, why would Ikuko be written in a way such that she has no confirmable existence prior to the Rokkenjima incident, unless it was important. She could easily be framed as a hermit, while still having provable ties that show her existing prior, but all of them are deliberately shut down. Battler/Tohya explicitly says she never has visitors or sees her family despite living with her for decades.
